Family Dollar in Greensburg, KS is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, merchandise handling, and supervising store staff to ensure smooth sales floor execution.

The role requires effective communication, leadership, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, while following company policies and safety guidelines across a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail/grocery or drug store experience preferred.
• Must read and follow operational directives.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations and functions.
• Help customers with questions and concerns in a positive, approachable manner.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized, protect assets including cash, and ensure cleanliness.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
