Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Salem, MA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help ensure a clean, well-stocked environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling support, loss prevention, and staff training under the Store Manager. A high energy, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Handle payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention duties.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Train and develop Store Associates under Store Manager supervision.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
