Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. operates HomeGoods and other brands, and is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Countryside, IL location.

You will lead a dynamic team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, manage merchandising, backroom, frontline, and store operations, and drive performance in a fast-paced environment. You will mentor Associates, drive training initiatives, and partner with leadership to implement store changes and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and provide mentorship.
• Proficient in store operations, customer service, merchandising, people management, health and safety, and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing key operations including merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving.
• Attract, recruit, and cultivate top talent by providing comprehensive training and ongoing development for Associates; mentor a positive environment for both Associates and customers.
• Communicate and implement action plans for projects, targets, company initiatives, and store changes; provide input on succession planning.
• Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets; coordinate loss prevention and operational programs and improve store layout and efficiency.
