Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. HomeGoods in Chicago is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will empower Associates, drive sales, manage operations, and foster an inclusive, customer-focused atmosphere to deliver magical moments for shoppers. With at least 2 years of retail leadership, you will recruit and develop a large team, oversee merchandising, service, scheduling, and loss prevention, and partner with leadership to meet goals.

Qualifications

2+ years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
Ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and mentor others.

Responsibilities

Drive store performance by supporting sales results, managing expenses, and overseeing merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping, and receiving.
Attract, recruit, and cultivate top talent by providing training and ongoing development for Associates; mentor and role model.
Communicate and implement action plans for projects and targets; provide input on succession planning.
Implement strategies to meet sales, expense, and customer service targets and coordinate loss prevention programs.
