Job summary

NAPA in Salem, VA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead store operations, coach the team and maintain high customer service. This role balances counter sales with inventory, receiving, delivery coordination and daily housekeeping to ensure smooth store continuity.

You will partner with the Store Manager, influence labor planning, and develop successors for progression toward Store Manager. Overtime and keyholder duties may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced automotive retail environment or willingness to learn.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to build long-term relationships.
• Familiarity with inventory management and store operations processes.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales, inventory health and labor planning.
• Actively sell and build relationships across retail and wholesale channels.
• Open and close routines, cash reconciliation and end-of-day reporting.
• Monitor store metrics and coach staff to improve sales, accuracy, and LP.
• Provide leadership, training and performance management for store functions.
• Support safety, asset protection and process improvements.
