Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and manage merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and leadership abilities, with experience in retail or related environments. Part-time scheduling and on-site work are included, with a focus on maintaining a positive, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking and standing
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize and transfer merchandise to stockroom and sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and secure assets
• Ensure safety and adherence to policies; supervise and train Store Associates
