Summary

As a Roses/Roses Express Assistant Manager/Key Carrier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and supporting the Store Manager in the overall operation of the store to achieve company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training, and developing store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Follow all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not on-site, assume supervisory responsibility for all hourly team members.
• Process all SSC corporate directives.
• Assist the Store Manager with receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow alongside the Store Manager.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise.
• Maintain stockroom organization.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Implement directives from the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs; capable of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without accommodations.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
