Summary
As a Roses/Roses Express Assistant Manager/Key Carrier, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting the Store Manager in the overall operation of the store to meet company goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
- Support all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
- Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Help protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
- Keep all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
- When the Store Manager is absent, have supervisory responsibility for all hourly team members.
- Process all SSC Corporate directives.
- Assist with the receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
- Manage freight flow alongside the Store Manager.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Support ordering and stocking of merchandise.
- Maintain stockroom organization.
- Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
- Implement directives from the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin.
Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience preferred.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
