Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with merchandising, opening/closing, and ensuring store standards are met while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities include supervising store associates, handling daily tasks such as scheduling and cash handling, and upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
