Family Dollar in Charleston, West Virginia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help supervise daily tasks, train associates, and ensure a clean, well-stocked sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Support Store Manager with training and development of Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure compliance by associates
• Foster a positive, safe and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Other duties as assigned
