Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction while managing staff and store standards.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, work in a fast-paced retail environment, and effectively supervise and train Store Associates. This is a full-time position located at 3335 Cobb Parkway N, Acworth, GA 30101-3939.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean; restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
