Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Aiken, SC to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise organization, and maintaining a clean, secure environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and hands-on leadership to ensure excellent service and efficient store performance. Previous retail/management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide good customer service.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Assist customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and loss prevention.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates and ensure a safe, respectful environment.
