Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and related communications
• Maintain promotional displays and store frontage fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash
• Follow policies, safety guidelines, and ensure staff compliance
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful customer and staff environment
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
