Job summary

Hometown Building Center, a Nation’s Best Holdings, LLC company, seeks an Assistant Store Manager for our Springtown, TX location. Lead by example in daily store operations, delivering outstanding customer service while supporting the Store Manager with scheduling, training, and problem resolution.

You will assist in inventory, merchandising, and team coordination, ensuring safety and efficiency across departments and handling special orders and escalations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, tools, lumber or building materials.
• Proficient with POS systems and basic business software; valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with day-to-day store operations and scheduling.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure adherence to service standards.
• Assist in inventory, merchandising, stocking, and receiving tasks.
• Train and mentor staff; escalate performance issues as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety and equipment functionality.
