Job summary

Goodwill Industries of North Central Plains Area (NCPA) seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, supervise staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. The role includes scheduling, training, merchandising, and promoting the Goodwill mission in a fast-paced retail environment.

The position requires a high school diploma, at least one year in retail, and supervisory experience, with opportunities for growth and employee benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in retail sales or related experience.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Supervise store clerks and helper/trainees, delegating duties as needed.
• Schedule staff and manage manpower to ensure store operations.
• Train staff on display, sales techniques, and company policies.
• Prepare daily sales reports and bank deposits.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper stock rotation.
• Assist customers with merchandise questions and selections.
