Job summary

Wild Bill’s Tobacco is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Michigan to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staff management, and customer service. This role focuses on developing the skills needed to become a Retail Store Manager.

You will help drive sales, manage inventory and scheduling, and ensure a welcoming environment for customers and employees. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required in this full-time position.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years or older.
• Completion of high school degree.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Flexible to work 12 hour shifts at times.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and retaining store employees.
• Assist in managing and developing store employees for optimal performance in sales and store operations.
• Assist in developing teams selling skills.
• Assist in educating the team about the products sold in store.
• Ensure store operates smoothly including inventory, expenses, promotions and scheduling.
• Provide excellent customer service, including handling inquiries and complaints.
• Learn product knowledge and stay aware of launches and promotions.
• Create relationships with customers to suggest products.
• Meet or exceed store sales and operational goals.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet targets.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Open and close the store.
• Full-time hours and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
