Assists in the direction of all in-store activities to achieve sales and profitability targets, and to ensure long-term business growth in accordance with company philosophy and established policies and procedures. The assistant store manager will support the implementation of the strategic direction of their store location to achieve all objectives and projects assigned by Cole Haan while maintaining a healthy team culture and store environment.

Core Accountabilities
  1. Deliver financial results:
  • Drive financial growth by achieving sales and key KPI goals
  • Exceed store EBITDA budget through responsibly managing payroll, supplies, and facilities
  • Coach and develop staff to exceed individual and store goals
  1. Build a Dedicated And Good-natured Team
  • Support and maintain a positive store environment by leading and developing a quality store team
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and building a talent pipeline
  • Address and partner on performance issues using the Company tools
Create a culture of customer obsession that caters to the extraordinary achiever:
  • Deliver extraordinary customer service through your store team
  • Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards consistent with company expectations
  • Communicate customer, market, and product feedback
Deliver Operational Consistency
  • Achieve operational objectives related to loss prevention, health, and safety
  • Support the team to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures

Pay Range: $19-$31 per hour

  • Pay depends on relevant skills, experience, and store volume
  • Full-Time Position
  • College degree preferred or related field experience
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years old
  • Retail management experience preferred
  • Must have open availability and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have an independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability
  • Knowledge in sales, business acumen, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention
  • Ability to lead a team in operational tasks such as receiving shipments and maintaining store cleanliness
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge in staffing, coaching, counseling, training, and development
  • Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Strong computer skills including POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Physical ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25-50 pounds occasionally
