Job summary

GPM Investments is seeking an Assistant Manager for a Subway location in Richmond, VA. This hands-on role supports daily operations, coaches the team, ensures quality and service standards, and steps in for the Store Manager when needed.

The position offers a flexible schedule, health/dental/vision benefits, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and a potential monthly bonus. The pay range is $16.00–$18.00 per hour, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to stand, bend, and walk during shift.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication).
• Patience and effective communication during training of new employees.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and model exceptional customer service.
• Train and support team members on food prep, safety, and service.
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, and performance feedback.
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Manage inventory and ordering to minimize waste.
• Control labor, food cost, and expenses to meet budget goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor laws.
• Step in to support deli or QSR operations as needed.
