Job summary

DTLR, Inc. is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations in the Reading area. You will drive sales, manage expenses, and ensure excellent customer service across the store team.

The role includes recruiting and developing staff, enforcing policies, and coordinating inventories and merchandising to meet company budgets. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in retail management.
• Strong command of English and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recruit, train and develop store personnel.
• Ability to manage expenses and inventory.
• Willing to work across multiple stores in the district.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality and performance of the store staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Lead by example to achieve store goals and training standards.
• Assist with recruitment, selection, and training of store personnel.
• Assist with performance evaluations for all store employees.
• Support expense management and budgeting to meet targets.
• Monitor shrink and loss prevention programs to protect assets.
• Ensure safety and adherence to business standards.
• Train staff in merchandising and suggested selling techniques.
• Uphold customer service standards to deliver outstanding service.
• Perform regular merchandise inventory counts and audits.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
