Peet’s Coffee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Lafayette, CA to support store leadership and coach a team focused on exceptional service. The role offers development toward a Store Manager track within 12 to 18 months and includes tuition scholarship opportunities with Oregon State University E Campus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management/supervisory experience in service/food-related roles.
• Open availability and ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in driving sales and delivering excellent customer experiences.
• Use reporting tools with the Store Manager to track progress and inform decisions.
• Create a positive team culture through coaching and clear communication; support retention.
• Contribute to employee development through regular coaching and feedback.
• Assist in recruiting and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Assist in daily coffeebar operations including inventory, cash handling, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
