Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Lafayette, CA. You will support store leadership, coach staff, and drive sales while delivering excellent customer experiences. This developmental role targets readiness for a Store Manager position within 12–18 months.

Competitive pay between $28.00–$31.00 per hour, plus 401(k), medical/dental/vision, paid vacation and holidays, plus free coffee and employee discount. Tuition scholarship opportunities are available through OSU E Campus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience in service/food industry or equivalent.
• Open availability and ability to work 40 hours per week including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in achieving financial and operational goals through sales leadership and customer experience.
• Coach and develop team members with regular feedback and performance recognition.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Oversee daily coffeebar operations, inventory, cash handling, and compliance with safety and labor standards.
