Job summary

J.Crew Group in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team. You will drive profitability through customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, providing feedback and coaching to the sales team to maximize performance.

You will collaborate with the rest of the leadership team to adapt strategies for business success and ensure smooth operational support as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience in a similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy when executing tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Scheduling flexibility, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to drive profitability.
• Own your division: Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling.
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist Store Director & Associate Store Manager with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Partner with Store Director and Associate Store Manager to create a collaborative environment for associates.
• Ensure the team is on track to exceed goals and provide best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost associate expertise and customer connection.
• Engage with the community and build loyalty through events.
• Be ready to step into roles on the sales floor when needed.
