Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Cripple Creek, Colorado location. You will help with day-to-day activities, train associates, and ensure the store meets company standards.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can maintain a well-stocked sales floor, supervise opening and closing procedures, and uphold safety and loss-prevention policies while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational abilities.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
