Job summary

Fremont Economic Development Corp. in Colorado is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, perform opening/closing, and process directives while maintaining displays and training associates. Join our team to ensure a positive, safe environment, uphold company standards, protect assets, and drive excellent service across the store floor and stockroom

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of standing, walking, bending, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities; maintain records as required.
• Maintain storefront displays and promotional effectiveness; assist in ordering merchandise.
• Support loss prevention measures and protect store assets.
• Train and develop Store Associates; ensure a positive, safe work environment.
