Family Dollar LLC in Fort Yates, ND seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development. The role involves assisting with merchandising, opening/closing, and enforcing company policies while maintaining a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and store management experience in retail or grocery. This is a part-time position with opportunities to lead and grow within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits), and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors clean, trash disposed, and areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
