Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Sanford, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, enhance customer service, and develop the team. You will assist with daily duties, supervise and train associates, maintain store standards, and ensure safety and loss prevention while delivering friendly, efficient service.

This role includes opening and closing procedures and aiding in merchandising responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise between delivery, stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store standards and promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged goods.
• Ensure areas are well-stocked and organized.
• Protect and secure assets including cash.
• Help train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
