Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Carson City, NV to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise moves smoothly from delivery to floor while maintaining seasonal displays.

You’ll also train staff, uphold safety rules, and ensure a clean, welcoming store environment. The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Support merchandise transfer from truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged goods, and record-keeping including payroll and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized per company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash; ensure safety policies are followed.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restocking and cleaning bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
