Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Centerville, Tennessee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will help with opening/closing, merchandising, scheduling, payroll, and loss prevention to maintain a safe, welcoming store for customers and staff. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, stock, and transfer merchandise from delivery to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and oversee cash handling and loss prevention.
• Keep the store clean, stocked, and presentable.
• Support the Store Manager with training and development.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
