Job summary

Dollar Tree in Las Cruces, NM is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development. You will help with opening/closing, supervise associates, and ensure merchandise is organized and inventory is accurate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store records including payroll and receipts.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and a well-stocked sales floor.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize the sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and supervise store associates as needed.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
