LITTLE GENERAL STORE INC in Lewisburg, WV is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, safe, and profitable retail convenience store. Responsibilities include acting as Store Manager in their absence, training staff, promoting loyalty programs, and ensuring compliance with state laws on lottery, alcohol, and tobacco.

The role requires English proficiency, basic computer skills, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred.
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

Possess general knowledge of the Store Manager’s role.
Represent Little General in a professional manner with all employees, customers and vendors.
Act as the Store Manager to perform the duties described in the Store Manager Job Description when the Store Manager is not present.
Assist in training employees as directed by the Store Manager.
Promote enrollment and participation in all Loyalty Programs. (LG Rewards, BP, Exxon, etc.)
Promote and participate in company sponsored Charity Events.
Understand and strictly follow state law laws regarding lottery, alcohol and tobacco sales.
Provide management coverage for the store by working opposite shifts from the Store Manager as scheduled. Shifts to regularly include nights, weekends and holidays.
Understand and be able to execute all security and emergency protocols.
Refer questions and problems they cannot answer to the Store Manager or Retail Supervisor.
Contact the Store Manager or Retail Supervisor in the event of an emergency.
Other duties as may be assigned.
