Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts in Long Lake, MN seeks an Assistant Store Manager to blend automotive product knowledge with customer service and frontline operations leadership. You will partner with the Store Manager to run daily store functions, coach staff, and ensure top-notch service while maintaining sales and inventory health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or trade school courses or degree completion.
• Experience in automotive after-market or DIY learning willingness.
• Leadership experience.
• Passion for customer care and long-term relationships.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Knowledge of cataloging/inventory systems.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs when needed.
• Background in automotive/heavy equipment/farm/diesel/marine dealership.
• Experience in parts store, retail, auto body, or related management.
• Customer-centric approach.
• ASE certifications a plus.
• NAPA Know How.

Responsibilities

• Partner daily with Store Manager on operations, sales execution, inventory health and team performance.
• Actively sell and build customer relationships across channels.
• Model expected behaviors, processes, and customer standards.
• Oversee opening/closing routines, security, and end-of-day reporting.
• Handle or support scheduling, compliance documentation, and performance tracking.
• Monitor store metrics and drive problem solving for improvements.
• Provide leadership, training and performance management for store functions.
• Support talent development and mentor successors.
