The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in fostering James Avery's culture, enhancing customer experience, increasing brand awareness, and managing store operations. This role involves working with associates to create a sales-focused environment that drives results and profitability, while embodying our core values.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to promote a positive work environment.
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing staff.
- Act as a brand ambassador in-store and within the community to boost brand awareness and store traffic.
- Support critical operations including inventory, scheduling, payroll, BOPIS, Ship by Store, and supply budgets.
- Lead by example, adhering to all store and company policies, and suggest process improvements.
- Maintain a strong sales presence on the floor, fostering customer relationships and team development.
- Facilitate training and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and provides an excellent shopping environment.
- Analyze sales reports and KPIs to inform business strategies.
- Promote inclusivity and collaborative problem-solving.
- Model and promote guest service standards.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Ensure efficient register operations and adherence to payment and return policies.
- Partner with the Store Manager to resolve HR issues effectively.
- Build positive relationships across departments and functions.
- Assist in planning and executing special events and promotions.
- Communicate effectively with attention to detail and organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in a related field and two years retail experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Passion for exceptional customer service and relationship building.
- Ability to delegate, provide performance feedback positively, and empower staff.
- Capability to perform consistently in a dynamic environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across functions and multitask effectively.
