Minimum Pay starts at $56,485 annually.

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager manages daily Retail Center operations, acting as Retail Center Manager in their absence. Responsibilities include meeting financial goals, managing diverse departments, inspiring staff, and supporting budgeting and financial reporting.

Key duties involve managing donations, merchandise, waste, recycling, warehousing, pricing, community rapport, and customer service to ensure optimal performance. You will help utilize resources to support our mission of empowering individuals within the community.

Essential Functions

  • Work with the Retail Store Manager to achieve sales and donation goals.
  • Recommend operational improvements to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure safety standards are met and promote a safe working environment.
  • Operate and train staff on equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
  • Monitor retail trends and competition.
  • Lead and empower staff, oversee daily operations, and handle hiring and performance management.
  • Maintain knowledge of policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct employee training and team meetings.
  • Be on call for after-hours safety issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • At least 2 years supervising retail or similar operations with responsibility for financial results.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of marketing, production, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make decisions.
  • Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to operate company vehicles, and pass background and MVR checks.
