Job Description

General Function / Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory excellence.

Duties

Essential Duties:

• Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options for products and/or services to meet their needs.
• Escalate issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), and corporate office if unable to resolve directly with the customer.
• Answer telephone inquiries regarding general questions, customer applications, requests, or other issues.
• Perform outbound customer sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with federal regulations and company policies.
• Respond professionally and accurately to customers, explaining solutions and ensuring they feel supported and valued.
• Handle and count currency, manage cash drawers, perform deposits, and other cash handling tasks.
• Balance individual batch receipts with store sales reports and assist with resolving discrepancies.
• Perform customer verifications to validate presented information.
• Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend, per company policy.
• Comply with federal and state regulations and company policies.
• Complete required trainings and compliance modules on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education And Experience Required

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 1+ year(s) of experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred
• Strong customer service, active listening, and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and insurance required
• Willingness to embrace core values of accountability, inclusiveness, transparency, and focus

Physical Demands

• Work in call center, retail, or office environment
• Extensive cash handling
• Extended phone and computer usage
• Long periods of standing
• Lift up to 50 lbs with accommodations

Travel / Attendance

• Travel within district using personal vehicle
• Potential travel to neighboring districts and overnight stays
