Job summary

Big 10 Mart is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the 2nd shift to support the Store Manager and help run a busy convenience store. You will learn all duties, including cashiering, stocking, cleaning, ordering, and paperwork, ultimately becoming the manager's right hand in daily operations.

Assistant Store Managers are vital to helping the Store Manager drive business success for Big10 Mart. Successful assistant store managers have been successful retail associates, either as cashiers or shift leads. They help the Store Manager run a successful store location and are groomed to one day become a Store Manager in their own right.

Position summary:

Assists the store manager with supervising sales workers in a Big 10 Mart Convenience Store. Does not have authority to hire, discipline, or terminate employees. You will be learning all the duties of the store, including cashiering, stocking, cleaning, ordering, and doing paperwork. You will be the manager's right hand in running the store.

Experience and Education:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree (or other 2- year degree) or higher preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Retail/C-Store Industry highly desired, 6 months of leadership experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Stand for long periods of time
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Crouch, crawl, squat, climb as required
