General Function / Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service and regulatory compliance.

Job Description
Essential Duties:
  • Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio by presenting all options for products and/or services that meet their needs.
  • Escalate issues to the store manager, District Director of Operations (DDO), and corporate office if unable to resolve the issue directly with the customer.
  • Answer telephone inquiries related to general questions, customer applications, requests, or other issues.
  • Perform outbound customer sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with federal regulations, store procedures, and regional expectations.
  • Respond professionally to customers, explaining possible solutions to ensure they feel supported and valued.
  • Handle and count currency, manage cash drawers, and perform bank deposits or pickups as needed.
  • Balance daily sales reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Verify customer information during transactions.
  • Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and Net Spend.
  • Comply with all federal and state regulations, company policies, and complete required trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience in sales, customer service, or cash handling preferred.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Physical Demands:
  • Work in retail/office environment, extensive cash handling, long periods of standing, computer use, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Travel / Attendance:
  • Travel within district, possibly overnight, and work scheduled shifts.
