Central Bark Paradise Valley in Scottsdale is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead our doggy daycare facility and guide a dedicated team. You will manage daily operations, ensure a safe, engaging environment for four-legged guests, and support exceptional customer service.

The role requires 2+ years in pet care with supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in pet care, kennel, grooming, or veterinary environment preferred.
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort around dogs of all breeds and sizes.
• Must lift 40+ lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the facility, including opening/closing procedures.
• Supervise and support team members in daycare, front desk, and grooming.
• Ensure all dogs are safe, engaged, and receiving top-quality care.
• Manage staff schedules, training, and performance under the direction of the General Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service to pet parents – greet, check-in/out, answer questions, and resolve concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of play areas, kennels, and customer-facing spaces.
• Administer medications or special instructions as needed.
• Help plan and promote in-store events and marketing efforts.
• Enforce health and safety protocols for dogs and humans.
