Overview

SUMMARY: The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in achieving company goals through driving sales, developing talent, and executing store strategies. It is essential that the Assistant Store Manager represents the brand professionally, demonstrates exceptional customer service, and communicates consistently with team members.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of managerial experience in a specialty retail store, with relevant traffic and volume preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and adaptability to new software.
• Broad knowledge of the retail landscape.
• Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• Commitment to two store closings per week, including one on Friday or Saturday.
• Ability to use retail POS systems and inventory scanners.
• Ability to handle cash transactions in US dollars.
• Ability to interpret financial reports.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform detailed tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex situations and difficult customers.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building positive relationships.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly via email, memos, and reports.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy packages and boxes repeatedly.
• Reaching overhead, bending, kneeling, and carrying products.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Safely lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Performing store maintenance tasks.
• Using ladders or step stools.
• Repetitive motions like hanging, folding, or ringing up customers.
