Position Overview: As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Your duties include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

1. Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
2. Maintains a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
3. Ensures the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
4. Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
5. Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
6. Supports ordering, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
7. Supports loss prevention initiatives.
8. Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
9. Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
