General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in a positive manner, resolving inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
  • Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices.
  • Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
  • Support in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
  • Contribute to loss prevention efforts.
  • Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
  • Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, along with walking, standing, and other physical activities.
  • Availability for flexible full-time schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skills: Customer focus, potential development, results-driven, organizational and communication skills, problem-solving, and relationship management.
