Job summary

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) supports the general manager with day-to-day store operations at Global Partners LP. You will help uphold policies, train staff, and ensure financial and store procedures are followed.

You’ll supervise hourly associates, manage cash handling and inventory, and coordinate banking, invoicing, and payroll tasks as needed. The role also demands promoting guest service, maintaining cleanliness, and safe store operation.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends or holidays.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience.
• Able to work unsupervised and communicate clearly.
• Proficient in basic computer tasks and data entry.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Able to handle physical tasks and lift up to 25 lbs.

Job description

TheAssistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for assisting the general manager with the day-to-day operations of the store, adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures.

Your Role, Your Impact

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
• Monitor shift cash handling and inventory, Assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less as well as inventory variations of .5% of sales or less.
• Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records prescribed by the General Manager or Territory Manager.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and/or other administrative duties as requested, adhering to all Global Partner's cash control policies.
• Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards according to Global Partner's store image standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure store is secure and safe; comply with all safety and environmental guidelines. Report any issues to proper authority as well as management.
• Ensure adequate gasoline levels as well as coordinate gasoline deliveries.
• Engage in all company promotional initiatives.
• Promote a high level of guest service.
• Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures (encompasses Company Handbook) and any other duties assigned by your General Manager or Territory Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (e.g., outside, cooler, etc.).
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders/stairs and lift up to 25 lbs during a shift.
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Vocational or Technical Education, High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range: $20.81 – $24.02
