General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains store cleanliness and stock levels.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assists with unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Supports ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supports loss prevention efforts.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly; occasional lifting up to 55 lbs; capable of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Flexible, full-time availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, developing potential, results-driven approach, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
