Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager supports the store manager in daily operations to maximize profitability, ensure safety, and deliver exceptional customer service. Performs duties of the General Manager in their absence and supports sales associates when the manager is present.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with maintaining operation records, preparing reports, and resolving issues with the Store Auditing Team.
2. Review shift reports, reconcile funds, and ensure proper employee training.
3. Conduct routine inventory counts and ensure proper merchandising and presentation of store products.
4. Communicate promotions and update signage and displays.
5. Manage inventory levels, monitor gas pricing, and ensure store is well-stocked.
6. Assist in staffing, address employee performance issues, and ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.
7. Maintain a clean and orderly store environment and assist customers as needed.

Skills and Competencies

• Develop and motivate a team of up to 25 employees.
• Manage store operations effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain employee records, communicate clearly, and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; management experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills; ServSafe certification may be required.
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Ability to be on call, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in various environmental conditions.
