General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintains a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on operating practices and procedures under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Supports in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supports loss prevention efforts.
• Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational and communication skills, problem-solving, and relationship management.
