Position Summary:

Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience.

Description

Responsibilities

• Manage the store team's Guest Service behaviors, providing coaching to ensure friendly greetings and excellent customer service.
• Support the Store Manager in building a strong team through training, scheduling, coaching, and fostering an engaging work environment aligned with company values.
• Partner with the Store Manager to achieve operational excellence and meet financial goals related to promotions, sales, and controls.
• Assist in maintaining the store's appearance and cleanliness, including the coffee station, food service area, and restrooms, delegating tasks as needed.
• Oversee quality control, merchandising, safety programs, and stock levels to ensure product availability and safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager or during their absence.

Working Relationships:

Store team members, Store Manager, District Manager, and corporate personnel and vendors.

Requirements

Minimum Education:

High School or GED.

Minimum Experience:

1 year retail or food experience; completion of Assistant Manager Training program required before assignment.

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years in retail, guest service, or restaurant leadership roles.

Licenses/Certifications:

ServSafe/Food Safety certification is a plus but not mandatory.

Soft Skills:

• Comfortable interacting with guests and team members.
• High energy and adaptability.
• Team-oriented with willingness to assist others.
• Computer skills are beneficial.

Additional Details

This position primarily covers second shifts, opposite the Store Manager, requiring availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Full-time, up to 40 hours per week.

Travel may be 5-10% for store coverage and meetings; ability to independently deliver deposits with own vehicle is required.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for 8 hours, and working in cooler environments.

Specialized attire such as hats, visors, and gloves are provided.

Additional Info

Preferred previous management experience of 2 years and a degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s). Stable work history and proficient computer skills are advantageous.
