General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner. Address questions and resolve inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operational practices under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assist with unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Support in ordering merchandise and record keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible availability for full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, developing potential, results-driven, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
