General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Greets and assists customers, resolving inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintains a clean, well-stocked store and provides excellent customer service.
  • Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on operating practices.
  • Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise.
  • Supports ordering, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
  • Supports loss prevention efforts.
  • Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Retail management experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs.
  • Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
