Description

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, including managing employees, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing sales. This position is a development role, aimed at those aspiring to become a Retail Store Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and retaining store employees.
  • Help manage and develop store staff for optimal performance.
  • Support in developing sales skills and educating staff about products.
  • Ensure smooth store operations, including inventory management, expense monitoring, and scheduling.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handle inquiries and complaints, and ensure positive shopping experiences.
  • Gain product knowledge and stay updated on launches and promotions.
  • Build relationships with customers to recommend products.
  • Meet or exceed sales and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to meet operational and financial targets.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment, enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve operations, training, marketing, and product offerings.
  • Manage daily store operations, including inventory, cash handling, staffing, and cleanliness.
  • Spend most of the time on the sales floor engaging with customers and coaching employees.
  • Work full-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
