Overview

A Big O Tire Assistant Store Manager supervises store operations and handles customer service duties, ensuring compliance with company policies, providing customer education, and following up on maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and thank customers courteously, providing fast and friendly service
  • Promote sales by explaining service and product benefits
  • Perform vehicle inspections, print maintenance requirements, and recommend products/services
  • Execute sales duties including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, and stock management
  • Implement company policies and procedures
  • Manage store operations in the manager's absence
  • Assist in training staff and executing company programs
  • Resolve customer concerns effectively
  • Participate in weekly store meetings on safety, policies, and updates
  • Set and pursue sales, profit, expense, and payroll goals with the store manager
  • Review financial statements and payroll projections
  • Monitor employee productivity and manage accounts receivable
  • Ensure timely opening, closing, and cash handling procedures
  • Oversee daily bank deposits and work order accuracy
  • Assist with inventory management and physical counts
  • Complete reports and communicate with company personnel
  • Manage sales transactions and report discrepancies
  • Focus on ticket average and profitability
  • Maintain store facilities and assets
  • Build positive customer and staff relationships
  • Handle complaints courteously
  • Maintain store cleanliness and appearance
  • Follow policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Adhere to work schedules and communicate professionally
  • Report maintenance issues and assist in training new employees
  • Perform general cleaning and stocking duties
  • Complete required training promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Reliable transportation
  • Availability for holidays, weekends, and after-hours work
  • Ability to learn technical materials and operate office machinery
  • Willingness to work with hazardous materials and outdoors
  • Ability to operate vehicles safely
  • Compliance with PPE regulations
  • Good vision, hearing, speech, and olfactory senses
  • Ability to stand for up to nine hours and lift 75 pounds
  • Successful pre-employment screening and background checks
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills
