Position Overview

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Your duties will include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers positively, addressing inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring stock from the stockroom.
• Support in ordering merchandise and record keeping, including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Participate in loss prevention efforts.
• Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities like walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible full-time availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
